Silvia de Torres Carbonell

Silvia de Torres Carbonell is a Full time Professor of Entrepreneurship at IAE Business School – Austral University, in Buenos Aires, Argentina; founder and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship; she is also Director of the Argentina’s GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) research team since 1999, and for the second time Board member for GERA (Global Entrepreneurship Research Association). She is also an active member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum. Board member of Endeavor Foundation in Argentina, with active presence in non-profit organizations; founding member of the IWF (International Women’s Forum) in Argentina and President of “Fundación Ruta 40”
She has a vast experience in the corporate world and businesses; serving as a board member for several companies during the last 15 years.
In 2005, she founded the Business Angels Club of IAE alumni, the first network of angel investors of this kind in Argentina. Today, she serves as a Member of the Board of Directors.
